Sunday celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus. Catholics gather for the Eucharist as a community, and participation in Sunday Mass is an obligation unless a serious reason excuses them or a dispensation applies.
A little more context
A Catholic Mass on the preceding evening can fulfill the Sunday obligation. Sunday is also an invitation to rest, relationships and works of mercy. Work schedules, caregiving and other difficulties deserve thoughtful pastoral guidance, rather than assumptions about another person’s circumstances.
A practical beginning
Check your parish’s actual schedule. Choose a time that allows for travel and accessibility needs, and set aside a little room afterward for rest or a shared meal. If attending is a persistent difficulty, speak with your parish.
