Faith in the everyday
Privacy
A simple overview of how this site works.
Browsing and downloads
This site does not ask you to create an account or provide personal details to read guides or download printables. Site search runs in your browser. Search terms appear in the page address when you submit a search, so avoid entering private information.
Hosting and technical data
Our hosting provider may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and request logs to deliver and protect the site. This page describes the site itself; the platform’s own privacy terms also apply.
Your analytics choice
Google Analytics loads only after you choose “Allow analytics.” It helps us understand visits, page views, scrolling, links to other sites and PDF downloads. Google may receive technical information such as your browser, device and approximate location. Analytics cookies identify a browser over time; they do not require an account on this site.
We disable Google signals and advertising personalization. Automatic search-term and form-interaction tracking are turned off, and our page-address settings omit query strings and fragments. Do not enter private information in site search or page addresses.
Change your choice
Use “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time to allow or decline analytics. Declining after previously allowing it stops collection, removes this site’s Analytics cookies and reloads the page. It does not erase information already processed by Google.
Your choice is saved in this browser’s local storage for up to 180 days. Analytics cookies also have a 180-day lifetime, which can refresh when you visit. Choices are specific to the browser and website address you use. If browser storage is blocked or cleared, you may be asked again. You can use all guides, search and downloads without analytics.
Fonts and illustrations are served with the site. Your browser may cache files to load pages more quickly. See Google’s Privacy Policy for its data practices.
Contact and other websites
The Contact page links to our shared form on Life of the Saints. Web3Forms processes and stores messages sent through that form and delivers them to our inbox so we can respond. The shared form and its privacy page explain how submitted information is handled. Linked Church references and other websites have their own privacy practices.
Optional prayer and checklist preferences
The prayer planner can remember your chosen time and duration. Family kits, seasonal plans and sacrament checklists can remember completed steps. These features save only when you select “Remember,” and use this browser’s local storage. We do not ask you to type private prayer intentions, sacramental history or personal notes into these tools.
Use “Clear saved preferences” in the prayer planner or “Clear this plan’s progress” on a checklist to remove its saved data. Unchecking “Remember” also removes that tool’s saved data. These choices stay on this device and are separate from analytics consent. Clearing browser storage removes them; they are not synced to an account.
Your family calendar and listening choices
Family calendar entries stay in the open page unless you choose to remember them on this device. Optional saving uses this browser’s local storage; dates are not sent to us. Exporting creates an .ics file on your device. Importing that file shares its contents with the calendar service you choose. Use short labels and avoid private records or children’s full names. Clear all dates removes the page’s entries and saved copy; unchecking Remember removes the saved copy while keeping the open page.
Listen & Pray reads our published prayer text with your browser’s speech service. We do not request a microphone or capture your voice. Some device voices use an online speech service supplied by your browser or operating system; its privacy terms apply. Children’s game answers and scores stay in the open page and are not submitted.
The weekly email
If you choose to join The Catholic Week, your email address and consent are submitted securely to Wix, which manages subscriptions for Life of a Catholic and Life of the Saints. The checkbox starts unchecked; reading the site does not subscribe you. We use your signup to send the weekly Catholic email and manage subscription preferences. Your form submission records the time and the consent you gave.
You can unsubscribe through the link in a newsletter or use our contact page to request help or removal. Your email is not saved in this site’s browser storage or included in analytics events. Wix may process technical information to protect the signup from spam. We do not request children’s email addresses; this signup is for adults.
Your printed pages
Journal entries are written on your downloaded or printed copy. There is no online journal submission or storage feature on this site. Keep your completed pages somewhere appropriate for the personal information they contain.
