A yes that becomes an action
A father asks two sons to work. One refuses, then goes; the other agrees, then does nothing. Jesus makes room for repentance and challenges a faith that stops at words.
Bring it into ordinary life
An unhelpful first response need not be the final response. Perhaps we have postponed a phone call, dismissed a request for help, or said that we would pray without making space to do it. Grace invites a real turn toward God. This week, let one good intention become a modest, specific action. We do not need to perform goodness for an audience. We can simply begin again and follow through.

Why is admitting a mistake sometimes harder than making a promise?

Let the Gospel take shape
Choose one helpful thing you have promised. Agree on a realistic time and do it.
Pray together
Jesus, give us honest hearts and willing hands. Help our yes become love in action. Amen.
