Life of a Catholic

A holier,
happier everyday

A daily pause

Let a delayed yes become real

One son refuses his father’s request but later goes to work. A poor first response does not have to become our final answer. Regret becomes fruitful when it moves toward repair and follow-through. Return to one request or responsibility you resisted. If it is good and still yours to do, give a realistic yes and complete the first part without making excuses or dramatic promises.

· Matthew 21:28–32

A question to sit with

Where can I replace defensiveness with a faithful second response?

One small step

Revisit one good request, agree on a clear next step and complete it at the time you name.

Pray

Merciful Father, thank You for allowing new beginnings. Turn my regret into honest action and make my second response faithful. Amen.
