· Luke 1:39–47
The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe remembers Mary’s maternal presence and God’s care reaching people through their own language and culture. Devotion should deepen respect, not turn a community’s sacred story into decoration. Listen for how another person names hope, grief and faith. God’s nearness can meet us through a voice or tradition we did not expect. Receive that encounter as an invitation to reverence rather than ownership.
A question to sit with
Whose experience of faith could I receive with greater respect and curiosity?
One small step
Listen to one person or trusted cultural source without interrupting, correcting or making their story about you.
Pray
Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray that we may welcome Christ with humility, honour every person’s dignity and listen for God’s grace across cultures. Amen.
