Life of a Catholic

A holier,
happier everyday

A daily pause

Bring your weariness honestly

Jesus welcomes people who are burdened and offers rest. Rest is not laziness, and this invitation should not replace medical care, safety planning or practical help when those are needed. Bring your real weariness to prayer without minimising it. Then choose one form of support that makes the burden more shareable: a boundary, an appointment, a request or a quiet pause. You do not have to prove your strength first.

· Matthew 11:28–30

A question to sit with

What burden have I been pretending is easy to carry alone?

One small step

Ask for one specific kind of help or protect one short period of restorative rest.

Pray

Gentle Jesus, meet me in my weariness. Give me courage to receive help, wisdom to set limits and rest that renews love. Amen.
