· Matthew 7:21, 24–27
Jesus compares a life of hearing and doing to a house built on rock. Good intentions are not a foundation until they become practices that can endure pressure. Saint Francis Xavier crossed cultures to share the Gospel, reminding us that zeal also needs humility, listening and perseverance. Choose one teaching of Jesus you can make visible today through a small, repeated action in ordinary life.
A question to sit with
Which teaching of Jesus do I praise more readily than I practise?
One small step
Turn one intention into a scheduled action, and decide what will help you repeat it next week.
Pray
Lord Jesus, make Your word the foundation beneath my choices. Give me humility to listen, courage to act and perseverance when the work is difficult. Amen.
