· Isaiah 11:1–10
Isaiah imagines a world where God’s Spirit brings wisdom, justice and peace. The vision is larger than any single effort, yet it can examine the patterns of one home or community. Where does power silence someone? Where could a fairer arrangement reduce conflict? Hope becomes practical when we let God reshape the way decisions are made and people are heard, especially when change asks something of us.
A question to sit with
Where could greater fairness create more peace?
One small step
Invite one overlooked voice into a decision, and listen before defending the current arrangement.
Pray
Spirit of wisdom, shape our judgments and our common life. Teach us to seek peace through truth, fairness and patient listening. Amen.
