· Luke 21:12–19
Jesus prepares his disciples for opposition and promises that their witness will not be abandoned. Faithful courage is not recklessness, and this passage should never be used to keep someone in abuse or immediate danger. Seek safety and qualified help when needed. In an ordinary conflict, courage may mean speaking truth without cruelty, refusing a dishonest request or standing beside someone who is being treated unfairly.
A question to sit with
Where does faithfulness require courage rather than silence?
One small step
Prepare one calm, truthful sentence and ask a trustworthy person to support the next appropriate step.
Pray
Jesus, stay near when truth is costly. Give me courage joined to wisdom, and lead every person in danger toward safety and help. Amen.
