Life of a Catholic

A holier,
happier everyday

A daily pause

Give without disappearing

Jesus notices a widow whose small offering carries a real cost. Her generosity deserves attention, but poverty should not be romanticised and vulnerable people should not be pressured to give beyond their safety. Consider what you can offer freely and responsibly: money, time, encouragement or skill. Generosity is not measured only by size. It is shaped by love, honesty about limits and willingness to value gifts that the world barely notices.

A question to sit with

Can I honour both generosity and the real limits people carry?

One small step

Offer one meaningful gift within your means, and thank someone whose quiet contribution is often missed.

Pray

Generous God, free me to give with love and receive with humility. Teach me to honour every person’s dignity and limits. Amen.
