· Luke 18:35–43
A blind man refuses to let the crowd silence his request, and Jesus asks him to name what he wants. Honest prayer does not require pretending that every need is simple or that every answer will arrive in the way we expect. Bring one need into clear words. Then consider the human help that may also be appropriate: a professional appointment, an honest conversation or a practical request to someone trustworthy.
A question to sit with
What need have I kept vague because asking clearly feels vulnerable?
One small step
Write a one-sentence prayer, then take one appropriate step toward receiving help.
Pray
Jesus, hear me when I call. Give me courage to name my need and wisdom to receive the help that is offered. Amen.
