· Matthew 25:1–13
Readiness for Christ grows through choices that seem small while we make them. Prayer, truthfulness and mercy are not supplies we can borrow at the last second; they become habits through practice. Do not turn this parable into fear about whether you have done enough. Let it invite one steady beginning. Choose a practice you can actually repeat, and let that small light shape the way you meet the people before you.
A question to sit with
Which faithful habit needs a little attention today?
One small step
Set aside five unhurried minutes for prayer and decide when you will return tomorrow.
Pray
Jesus, keep me awake to Your presence and faithful in the small choices that prepare my heart. Amen.
