The shepherd and the woman searching for a coin do not treat what is missing as disposable. When they find it, joy draws others in. Jesus invites us to share God’s joy over repentance rather than resent the welcome another person receives. If someone returns to prayer, parish life or a friendship, they do not owe us every detail of their absence. Welcome the beginning without demanding a performance. Necessary repair still matters, but shame need not be the doorway.

Offer a simple welcome to someone reconnecting, without asking them to explain more than they wish.

Good Shepherd, find me when I wander. Help me rejoice in Your mercy for others and make room for their return. Amen.
